About this expansion

Not a booster but a binder: Southern Islands (SI) was released internationally on 31 July 2001 and sold as a decorated collector's folder – with the cards, eight postcards and three booster packs inside. Its 18 cards split into the two island sheets Tropical Island and Rainbow Island; none of them carries a rarity symbol, since the set came as a fixed lineup. The Japanese original had appeared back in 1999 alongside the second movie. The most sought-after are Mew and Slowking.
