Toploader

Toploaders are rigid hard-plastic holders for single, valuable cards. Perfect for keeping chase cards, fresh booster hits, or cards headed for shipping crease-free. Brands like Phoenix Shield, Ultimate Guard, Ultra PRO, and Epic Forge offer them in many thicknesses, some with UV protection and a protective surface film.

Important: put the card in a sleeve first, then into the toploader. That way you avoid direct contact with the plastic and scratches when sliding it in. Thickness is measured in pt. Works for both unsleeved and sleeved cards, whether Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, or One Piece. For sending cards in for grading, reach for a semi-rigid card holder instead.
