About this expansion

The start of a new era: Sword & Shield (SSH) was released on 7 February 2020 as the first expansion of the series of the same name, bringing the Galar region and the legendary Zacian and Zamazenta into the trading card game. This set marks the debut of Pokémon V and Pokémon VMAX – the mechanic that would shape the next three years – and the cards receive a reworked layout. 202 cards make up the main set, 14 secret rares bring the total to 216. The most sought-after cards to this day are Snorlax VMAX, Zacian V and the supporter Marnie.
