About this expansion

The rivals step up: Rising Rivals (RR) was released internationally on 20 May 2009 and in German on 12 August 2009. The second expansion of the Platinum series is devoted to the Pokémon of Sinnoh's Gym Leaders and Elite Four, and adds two subgroups to the Pokémon SP: Pokémon GL for the Gym Leaders, Pokémon 4 for the Elite Four. With nine Pokémon LV.X it holds more of them than any other expansion of the Diamond & Pearl and Platinum era. The list contains 120 cards, 111 of them in the regular numbering, plus three Pikachu versions and the six Rotom cards RT1 to RT6. Snorlax LV.X is the most sought-after.
